Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country, which may be up to 16 in some EU member states) and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Account Registration

• •You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• •You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• •You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• •We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Description of Service

PREPEUR is an AI-powered learning platform that allows you to:

• •Upload PDF documents
• •Generate AI-powered study materials (summaries, flashcards, quizzes)
• •Review materials using personalized review tools
• •Track your learning progress and analytics
• •Organize materials into courses
• •Export study materials in supported formats

3.1 Service Availability and Changes

We are continually improving the Service. Features may change over time, and we may add, remove, or modify functionality. We may also suspend or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part), including specific features, with reasonable notice when practicable.

4. Subscription and Billing

4.1 Plans and Pricing

We offer Free, Student, and Educator subscription plans. Current pricing and plan features are available on our Pricing page. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice.

4.2 Billing

• •Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance.
• •Payment is processed securely through Stripe. We accept major credit cards.
• •Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• •You can manage your subscription and view billing history in your account settings.

4.3 Refunds

EU/EEA Consumers: If you are a consumer in the European Union or European Economic Area, you generally have a legal right to withdraw from a subscription purchase within 14 days of the date the contract is concluded, unless an exception applies. Where required by law, we will provide a way to exercise this right (for example, via a withdrawal option in Settings > Account during the applicable period). If you request that the Service start immediately, we may, where permitted by law, deduct a proportionate amount for the part of the Service provided up to the time you withdraw.

After the withdrawal period: After the applicable withdrawal period has ended, subscription fees are generally non-refundable. You can cancel at any time, and cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period.

If you experience technical issues that prevent you from using the Service, please contact us at support@prepeur.com, and we will work with you to find a fair resolution.

4.4 Plan Changes

• •Upgrades: When you upgrade, you gain immediate access to new features. You will be charged the prorated difference for the current billing period.
• •Downgrades: When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Your existing content remains accessible, but you may lose access to premium features.

5. User Content and Ownership

5.1 Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to the documents you upload to the Service ("User Content"). You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to upload and process any content.

5.2 Generated Content

Study materials generated by PREPEUR from your documents ("Generated Content") — including summaries, flashcards, and quizzes — are owned by you. You may use, modify, export, and share your Generated Content for any lawful purpose.

5.3 License to PREPEUR

By using the Service, you grant PREPEUR a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to:

• •Process your User Content to provide the Service (generating study materials)
• •Store your content on our servers and third-party infrastructure
• •Use anonymized and aggregated usage data to improve the Service

We do not use your documents or generated content to train AI models except as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your content to third parties.

5.4 Copyright Complaints

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please contact us at legal@prepeur.com with enough information for us to investigate (for example, a description of the work, the location on the Service, your contact information, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized). We may remove or disable access to the reported content and, where appropriate, take action against repeat infringers.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

• •Upload content you do not have the right to use or share
• •Upload illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• •Share your account credentials with others
• •Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
• •Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download content
• •Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
• •Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• •Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• •Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

Violation of this policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

7. Academic Integrity

PREPEUR is designed as a study aid to help you learn more effectively. You agree to use the Service in accordance with your educational institution's academic integrity policies. PREPEUR is not a replacement for learning — it is a tool to enhance your understanding of course materials.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, documentation, and PREPEUR branding, is owned by PREPEUR OÜ and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use our trademarks, logos, or brand elements.

9. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

You should always verify important information against your original source materials. PREPEUR provides citations with generated study materials to help you verify information; however, citations may be incomplete or may not always support a specific claim. We are not responsible for any consequences resulting from reliance on AI-generated content.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• •The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
• •We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
• •We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• •Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PREPEUR, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• •Your use of the Service
• •Your violation of these Terms
• •Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
• •Content you upload to the Service

12. Termination

12.1 By You

You may delete your account at any time through the account settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

12.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to the Service, other users, or PREPEUR. We will attempt to notify you before termination when reasonably possible.

12.3 Inactive Accounts

We may close accounts that have been inactive for an extended period (for example, no login activity for approximately two years). Where reasonably possible, we will attempt to notify you using the email address associated with your account before closing it.

12.4 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive (such as Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law) will continue to apply.

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you should stop using the Service.

15. Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PREPEUR regarding the Service.

15.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

15.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

15.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
